PORTLAND — The Maine Historical Society will honor military veterans by offering them free admission to its museum during the week of Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
Veterans will be able to view the current exhibit, “This Rebellion: Maine and the Civil War,” at no charge. Admission to the museum, at 489 Congress St., is usually $8 for an adult.
The exhibit explores the Civil War experiences of Mainers through letters, artifacts, photographs, music and official records.
