PORTLAND — Councilor Kim Cook and city staff will host a public meeting on Ludlow Pond at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 in the Deering High School cafeteria.
Ludlow Pond, off Ludlow Street in Deering Center, is used as a skating pond in the winter and is a wildlife preserve, city spokeswoman Jessica Grondin said in a press release.
Cook said community members have contacted her about management plans for of the pond, leading to the public meeting. The meeting is the second held since June 2017, and more information on the pond can be found at https://bit.ly/2xoD3hz.
