PORTLAND — Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine and the Portland Police Department will co-sponsor the 33rd annual Take Back the Night march and rally at 6 p.m. Friday, April 25, in Monument Square.

The event, an effort to help end sexual violence in Maine, features a march through the Old Port and back to Monument Square, where survivors of sexual violence and their supporters are invited to share their stories and thoughts.

In the event of rain, the rally will be held at Planned Parenthood’s third-floor gallery space at 443 Congress St.
