YORK — A Portland man and woman face drug charges after Maine State Police troopers stopped their car on the Maine Turnpike this morning.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said Sierrha Frisbie, 23, and Christopher Rickett, 29, were arrested after allegedly speeding through the York tollbooths. A K-9 search revealed the presence of drugs in the car.
Frisbe was charged with unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs after troopers allegedly found 50 grams of cocaine and heroin in her possession. She was taken to York County Jail in Alfred. Rickett, who was driving, was issued a summons for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, McCausland said.
McCausland said the vehicle was returning from New York when it was stopped. Traveling with Rickett and Frisbe were Rickett’s wife and two children. The family was allowed to drive home after he was issued the summons.
