PORTLAND — The city is inviting the public to discuss traffic pattern changes at the intersection of Vannah Avenue and Woodford and Clifton streets.
The city’s Parks, Recreation and Facilities and Public Works Departments, the Friends of Woodfords Corner, and the Back Cove Neighborhood Association will host the neighborhood meeting Tuesday, June 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Ocean Avenue Elementary School.
The neighborhood groups and city officials said there is concern about traffic problems and accidents at the confusing corner near Baxter Boulevard and Back Cove.
The city plans to install new signs and up to 20 granite planters during the week of June 17 to eliminate a slip lane that runs alongside Barrows Park. There will also be a four-way stop at the corner of Clifton Street and Vannah Avenue.
