The Portland Little League 8-10 year old softball team recently captured the state championship with a 7-2 win over Saco to advance to the Eastern regionals in Pennsylvania. Pitcher Sadie Armstrong struck out 15 batters and walked jus one. Sophie Hill, Lindsay Rogers, Ruby Chase, Maria Delmonte, Anna Kennedy-Jensen and Armstrong all paced the offense.
