PORTLAND — The July Fourth “Stars and Stripes Spectacular” on the Eastern Promenade has been postponed to Saturday because of expected stormy weather.

City spokeswoman Jessica Grondin said all scheduled activities, including fireworks and the traditional Portland Symphony Orchestra Patriotic Pops concert, will occur on Saturday, July 5, instead of on Independence Day.

The postponement also means all parking restrictions and street closures will be in effect Saturday instead of Friday.
