PORTLAND — The future of the Portland Community Free Clinic at 103 India St. has been bolstered by a gift and a grant.
Dr. Joan F. Tryzelaar, president of the Friends of the Portland Community Free Clinic, announced June 9 that a former clinic patient will donate $100,000 from her trust fund to the clinic after she dies.
The clinic also received a $27,000 grant from the South Portland-based Sam L. Cohen Foundation to be used in fiscal year 2016.
The clinic was founded in 1993, and serves patients from throughout Cumberland County.
