PORTLAND — One lieutenant and six other firefighters were promoted Tuesday in ceremonies at City Hall.
Lt. Chad Johnston, a 17-year veteran, was promoted to captain. Firefighters Angela Calvo, Paul Halvorsen, Robert McPartlan, David Nichols, Mark Stewart and William VanDeinse are now lieutenants.
McPartlan has served 19 years, Stewart 18 years and Nichols 17 years. Calvo and Halvorsen are 16-year veterans, and VanDeinse has served 12 years with the department.
