PORTLAND — The First Parish Church will host community forums on living wages, and bisexual, lesbian, gay and transgender advocacy on June 1 and June 8, respectively.

The forums begin at 6 p.m. at 425 Congress St. and are free and open to the public.

The forum on wages will feature a panel of business owners and executives including Mary Allen Lindeman of Coffee by Design, Topher Mallory of Mexicali Blues, and James Wellehan of Lamey Wellehan Shoes.

The LBGT Forward forum will be led by a panel including former U.S. Senate candidate and American Civil Liberties Union of Maine Executive Director Shenna Bellows, Equality Maine Executive Director Elise Johansen, and Freedom to Marry National Campaign Director Marc Solomon, who will also sign copies of his book “Winning Marriage” at a 5 p.m. reception.
