PORTLAND — Police are seeking two white men suspected of robbing a cab driver Sunday night.

Lt. Robert Martin said the robbery occurred around 7:55 p.m. after the 69-year-old driver picked the men up at Monument Square.

Martin said one of the suspects asked the driver to stop the cab on Adams Street near Kellogg Street, pulled a knife, and demanded money. The men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and were last seen fleeing on foot toward the Munjoy South apartment complex.

The driver was not injured in the robbery.

Martin said the suspects are thought to be in their late 20s or early 30s, each between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, with medium-length brown hair. One man was wearing a brown coat and the other was in dark clothing.
