PORTLAND — A city man suspected in a series of West End and Parkside burglaries was indicted July 10 on multiple charges.

Richard B. Coleman, 29, was indicted by a Cumberland County grand jury. Coleman, whose address was not listed, was charged for crimes dating to May 9, including June 20 and 27 burglaries on Brackett and Deering streets.

Coleman was indicted on theft, burglary and drug charges, including two Class B burglary counts and one Class B count of receiving stolen property.

An indictment is a determination that enough evidence exists to prosecute, not a finding of guilt.
