PORTLAND — Absentee ballots are available at City Hall for the June 12  primary elections.

Ballots are available from the city clerk’s office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The office will extend its hours to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, for voters who are not able to come during normal business hours.

Voters may request an absentee ballot by phone, email, fax, or in person. The  ballots may be filled out and returned in person at the City Clerk’s office or returned by mail.

Voters must be registered in Portland and can register to vote at the clerk’s office with identification and proof of city residency.

The June 12 ballot will include primaries for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House, state Senate, register of probate and county commissioner.

Voting on June 12 is from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. at city polling stations.
