HARPSWELL — Police suspect a 50-year-old Cundy’s Harbor woman was under the influence of alcohol when her pickup truck crossed the center line Tuesday afternoon on Cundy’s Harbor Road and crashed into another truck, seriously injuring the driver.
Police took a blood alcohol test from Cynthia Moody of Harpswell following the crash, which sent the other driver, 39-year-old Samuel Desjardins of Harpswell, to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment of what appeared to be broken bones, according to Lt. Tom Williams of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation of the crash initially indicated that Moody’s 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck was headed south on Cundy’s Harbor Road near Dingley Road at 4 p.m. when it crossed the center line and struck a 2001 GMC pickup truck driven by Desjardins, Williams said.
Moody appeared to have suffered minor neck injuries, Williams said.
