PORTLAND — Cumberland Avenue will be closed from Elm Street to Chestnut Street on Wednesday, April 30, from approximately 8:15-11:15 a.m., when the Police and Fire departments respond to a staged car accident for the benefit of Portland High School students.
The event, being put on by the school’s Students Against Destructive Decisions group, is expected to feature a two-car crash and simulated EMS rescue. It is designed to help students understand the consequences of risk-taking behaviors.
