SOUTH PORTLAND — Police say they have arrested the man they believe robbed a Mill Creek pharmacy over the weekend.

Sgt. Steven Webster said Wednesday night that 28-year-old Ian Bonville of South Portland was arrested on charges of Class B robbery.

Webster said police believe Bonville is the man who walked into the CVS on Ocean Street at around 6 p.m. Saturday, handed the pharmacist a note and left with a small amount of drugs. Nobody was injured and no weapons were seen during the incident, Webster said.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect on Sunday. Webster said police received a tip this week and began searching for Bonville, who turned himself in when he realized police were looking for him.

Bonville is being held at Cumberland County Jail on $50,000 cash bail and has been placed on probation. Webster said he expects the suspect to be arraigned Thursday or Friday.
