BATH — Two men allegedly involved in a Feb. 15 Walgreens pharmacy robbery were arrested on Tuesday, while their mother faces drug charges.
Kittery police on Tuesday arrested Michael Andrew Creamer, 20, and his brother, Anthony Joel Creamer, 18, on warrants obtained that day by Bath police.
The men are charged with robbery and stealing drugs, police said, and were released on $5,000 bail.
A combined investigation by the Bath, Kittery and York police departments resulted in the arrests.
Michael Creamer was also charged on Feb. 19 in York for his alleged involvement in a Nov. 23, 2009, robbery at a Hannaford supermarket in York.
Oxycontin was stolen in both robberies, according to Kittery police.
Police said a search warrant issued by the Sagadahoc Superior Court was initiated at the same time in Bath and Kittery on Feb. 18. The warrant resulted in the arrest of the men’s mother, Angela L. Creamer, 47, of Aspen Lane, Bath, by Kittery police on a charge of trafficking in a Schedule W drug (Oxycontin).
“This was an excellent investigation conducted by my detectives in conjunction with the detectives from the Kittery Police Department,” said Bath Police Chief Michael Field. “I also want to thank our media partners, both print and video, that put out our press release and pictures of the suspects so quickly. It helped the investigation tremendously.”
Bath police received a report at about 9:50 a.m. Feb. 15 that the Walgreens pharmacy on State Road had been robbed by a man who demanded Oxycontin and threatened to use a handgun.
The Creamer brothers are scheduled to make an initial appearance at Sagadahoc Superior Court on April 28 for the Walgreens robbery, according to Bath Police Lt. Stan Cielinski.
Police said they do not rule out additional arrests or charges.
