BATH — Police and the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Bath man Monday evening for allegedly stabbing two people.

Brandon Plummer, 34, was charged with elevated aggravated assault and taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, where he was held on $2,500 bail, according to a Police Department press release Tuesday.

Bath police and emergency medical services responded to 27 Spring St. at 10:25 p.m. Monday after receiving the report of a stabbing. A 39-year-old Bath man had stab wounds to his arm and back, and was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland. Later in the evening he was listed in stable condition.

A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the hand, and was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

A preliminary investigation showed that an argument between Plummer and the 39-year-old escalated to a fight, when Plummer allegedly stabbed the man several times. The 19-year-old was stabbed when trying to intervene, according to police.

Plummer, who is the victims’ neighbor, then returned to his residence, where police later detained him, police said.
