BRUNSWICK — Police have arrested two men believed to be connected to a May 15 stabbing on Market Lane.

A 39-year-old Ohio man reported to police who found him Sunday in the 7-Eleven parking lot on Maine Street that he was stabbed by two men.

At 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Robert W. McKenney, 43, of Pleasant Street, was arrested without incident on Pleasant Street on charges of elevated aggravated assault, robbery, aggravated criminal trespass and criminal mischief, police said.

His bail was set at $50,000 cash, and he is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Superior Court July 19.

Later Wednesday, the Portland Police Department arrested the second suspect, Wendall D. Casler, 38, of Oak Street, following a tip received by Brunswick police.

Casler was arrested on charges of elevated aggravated assault, robbery, aggravated criminal trespass and criminal mischief, and taken to Cumberland County Jail.
