PORTLAND — Registration is underway for the annual Natural Resources Council of Maine Polar Bear Dip and 5K race.
The Dec. 31 fundraiser begins at 11 a.m. at the Back Cove parking lot and ends with a noon dip into Casco Bay at East End Beach. The fee is $35, and online registration is available at http://bit.ly/2BGCNy7.
Participants receive a cloth event tote bag, with other prizes to those who raise $50 to $1,000 or more for NRCM.
Participants can also register on the day of the event, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Back Cove parking lot across from Hannaford Bros. A shuttle bus will return participants to their vehicles from East End Beach.
