FALMOUTH — Democratic incumbent Theresa Pierce has handily won re-election to the Maine House in District 44, which covers part of Falmouth.

In the three-way race for the seat Pierce received 3,447 votes. First-time candidates, Republican Sarah Sandlin and Green Independent Kathryn Schrock got 2,087 and 287 votes respectively.

In an uncontested race for House District 43, which covers part of Portland and part of Falmouth, Democrat Edward Crockett got 1,301 votes in Falmouth.
