BRUNSWICK — Phyllis R. Anderson, 83, died Feb. 6 at her home.
She was born in Dexter, Feb. 26, 1925, daughter of Ralph and Helen (Moody) Pomroy.
She was raised by her grandmother Lena Moody. In 1944, she graduated from Brunswick High School.
On June 17, 1944, she married Robert “Red” Anderson in Brunswick.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, gardening, and camping. Quilting was also a passion of hers, and was a member of the Kaleidoscope Quilters.
She was predeceased by a son Robert “Bobby” Anderson in 1971. 
She is survived by her husband “Red” of Brunswick; daughter Raye Staples and her husband Kenneth of Brunswick; grandsons Jason Wilkins of Portland, and Darren Wilkins and his wife Jessica of Charlottesville, Va.; great-granddaughters Ryan and Lexi of Charlottesville, Va; half-sister Karen Staples of Buckfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held earlier this week.
Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.
