BATH — Phyllis Helene “Phil” Pecci, 89, died Sept. 12 of natural causes.

On Nov. 17, 1920, she was born in Lewiston, a daughter of Fred and Eunice Dennett, and attended Lewiston schools.

After she graduated from Lewiston High School in 1940 she attended Pelletier’s Beauty School.

In 1944 she joined the U.S. Army and served as an air operations specialist at Rearney, Neb., and Merced, Calif., until 1946 when she was honorably discharged with a Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and an American Campaign Medal.

On July 22, 1946, she married Paul T. Pecci; they lived most of their married life together in Bath.

An avid cat lover, she also enjoyed to knit, crochet, quilt, and read romance novels.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Paul T. Pecci; a daughter, Anita M. Pecci; grandchildren, Jennifer K. Desisto and Chad L. Collins; a great-grandson, Noah E. Greene; a nephew, Phil Dennet and his wife Lori, and a niece, Sarah Muessig and her husband Hans; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Parish, St. Mary’s Church, 144 Lincoln St., Bath on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m.

Arrangements are by Desmond Funeral Homes, 638 High St., Bath.
