PORTLAND — Wallace Roberts & Todd, based in Philadelphia, will lead the redesign of Congress Square.

The selection of WRT, one of four finalists considered by city staff and members of the Public Art Committee and the Friends of Congress Square Park, was announced Friday, June 3. It work in collaboration with traffic engineers from Sebago Technics, urban horticulturalist Patrick Cullina and graphic designer BlueCadet.

WRT will also work with an artist on public art for the area. City spokeswoman Jessica Grondin said finalists from a field of 97 applicants will be selected later this month and will be presented at a public forum in July or August.
