Peter Edward Lebel, 65: Welder, enjoyed motorcycling

BATH — Peter Edward Lebel, 65, of Bath, passed away peacefully Nov. 1 of liver failure. He was born March 24, 1950, in Bath, a son of Francis J. and Hazel M. Lebel. He attended Bath area schools and graduated from Morse High School in 1969. After high school, Lebel attended Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute to learn welding. He carried his trade to Bath Iron Works in the shipyards.

Lebel loved football Sundays, always cheering for his Denver Broncos. Motorcycles were another love of his, but Lebel loved his family the most. Lebel always had a smile, he will be sadly missed.

He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Hazel, and a sister, Debra A. Lebel Larose.

Lebel is survived by his brothers, Robert Condon, of Sun City, Florida, Paul F. Lebel, of North Bath and Gregory J. Lebel, of Phippsburg; several nieces and nephews; cousins; a special aunt, Agnes Lebel, of Bath, and several friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lebel’s memory may be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 04004.

The Lebel family would like to thank the staff at Midcoast Hospital, Maine Medical, Lahey Hospital and Clinic and Hospice of Southern Maine.

Visiting hours will be held at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath, Friday, Nov. 6 from 10-11 a.m., following by a funeral service.
