FALMOUTH — Perry Malcolm Hudson, 89, of Falmouth, died in his sleep Nov. 8.

Born Jan. 29, 1924, in Newton, Mass., he left college in 1944 to pilot B-17 missions over Germany. After the war, he graduated from Columbia University, married Alice Lenore Shea, of Boston, and began his career with AT&T. He eventually retired as the general manager for Maine.

During and after his career, he served on numerous business, community and charitable boards. He was an avid golfer and skier and enjoyed big band music. He loved family gatherings where he presided over spirited political debates tempered by his sense of humor and laughter.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Susan, and wife, Lenore.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey, Andrew and Dennis.
