BRUNSWICK — Pauline L. Tessier, 93, of Spring Street, died March 11 at Mid Coast Hospital.

She was born in Brunswick on June 13, 1921, the daughter of Sylvio and Delia Gamache. She attended local schools and went on to work in the local mills.

On July 12, 1947, she married Hervey A. “Tess” Tessier. He died on Oct. 1, 2006.

Pauline was a homemaker devoted to raising her children, and alongside her husband, was co-founder of Tess’ Market. Family was the most important thing to her, and she always enjoyed having her loved ones around her, even if she was simply baby-sitting.

Tessier enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Tacoma Lake in Litchfield. She also was an avid knitter and crocheter, and had a prized collection of dolls and bears, for whom she would knit clothes.

In addition to her husband, Tessier was predeceased by a sister and a brother.

Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Lamarre and husband, Dennis, and Anne Talbot and husband, Bruce, all of Brunswick; two grandchildren, Scott Lamarre and partner, Stethanie, and Angela Lamarre; five great-children, Alicia Lamarre and fiance, Andrew, Christopher Lamarre, Amber Lamarre, Maddie Houston and Anthony Lamarre; a great-great-grandson, Everett Lamarre; two step-grandchildren, Adam Talbot and wife, Hallie, and Alyse Hinkley and husband, Andrew; three step-great-grandchildren, Ava Talbot, Adilynn Hinkley and Hazel Talbot; an expected step-great-grandchild, Myles Hinkley; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Richard Gamache.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated March 14 at St. John the Baptist Church, in Brunswick. Burial at St. John’s Cemetery will take place in the spring.
