SOUTH PORTLAND — Patricia Marie Dodd, 77, of South Portland, died Dec. 16 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

Dodd was born in Portland, a daughter of Paul Nason and Mary Barry. She graduated from Cathedral High School, and later, from Holy Ghost School of Nursing in Boston.

Dodd worked as a nurse at the Osteopathic Hospital of Maine for 20 years. She then accepted a position as a surgical technician for Dr. Jerry Cole. She retired from the Energy Workshop, which specialized in physical therapy, 10 years ago.

She loved being surrounded by her family and friends, and was known as the life of any gathering. She especially enjoyed parties around her pool on Fessenden Avenue.

While mostly a homebody, Dodd enjoyed trips throughout New England with her close friend Nonie.

She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Gilbert.

She is survived by four sons, Stephen M. Dodd, of Biddeford, Timothy D. Dodd and wife Lita, of South Portland, Thomas I. Dodd and wife Janet, and Clement P. Dodd, of South Portland; sister, Susan Harkins and husband Donald, of Portland; twin brother, Joseph Barry; and six grandchildren, Hannah Dodd, Cassie Dodd, Katie Dodd, Matthew Dodd, T.J. Dodd and Kimberly Dodd.

Visitation and a funeral were held at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, South Portland. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
