HARPSWELL — Patricia E. Welner, 54, died March 11 at her home in Cundy’s Harbor.
Welner was born April 22, 1958, in Brunswick, the daughter of James T. Welner Jr. and Mary Eastman Welner. She grew up in Topsham and Cundy’s Harbor.
She attended Brunswick High School, Dublin Christian Academy in New Hampshire, and graduated from Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham.
Welner was employed at R. A. Webber and Sons and had previously been the human resources manager at Gibbs & Cox.
Prior to her death, she was happy to know that she was going to be grandmother to her first granddaughter. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and wonderful friends. She loved camping, sitting by the firepit with her friends and family and her lab, Jasmine.
She is survived by her mother, a son, Joshua R. Welner, and his wife, Kera Labbe, and their son, Brayden, all of Cundy’s Harbor; two brothers, James Thomas Welner III, and his wife, Rosanna, of Topsham, and Richard D. Welner; and a sister, Susan Welner Hawkes, and husband, Gary, of all of Cundy’s Harbor.
The family would like to thank Dr. Trudy Chase, Dr. Stemple Johnson, the nursing staff at Parkview oncology and the nursing staff on the floor at Central Maine Medical Center for their compassionate care when Welner was diagnosed with cancer last June.
A graveside service will be at Cranberry Horn Cemetery in the spring at a date to be announced. A Celebration of Welner’s life will follow.
