After her children were grown, she returned to work, helping organize Head Start programs for many years, responsible for 24 Head Start programs from Somerville to Freeport.

On May 24, 1969, she married Charles J. Finn in Brunswick.

She was very involved with politics, and in 1984 was the Maine organizer for Gary Hart’s presidential campaign.

A loving mother who would do anything for her children, she was also a loyal friend who cared for others.
