SOUTH PORTLAND — Patricia A. Blackadar, 70, of South Portland, died Tuesday at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

She was born Feb. 12, 1942, in Van Buren, to Arthur and Pauline Greenier.

She attended St. Dominic’s Grammar School and Cathedral High School, and enjoyed a career of service at Shaw’s Supermarkets, the Holiday Inn and Hawaiian Hut.

She loved to garden, and was an avid crafter and dedicated Red Sox fan.

Blackadar’s friends and family will remember her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Blackadar, of South Portland; her daughter, Michele Murphy, and her husband Dan of South Portland; sons Christopher Blackadar and his wife Natalie Serrage, of Salem, Mass., and Aaron Blackadar and his wife, Jennatha, of South Portland; sister Nancy Billington of Portland; and five grandchildren, Robert, Katie, Jack, Liberty and Kathleen.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, from 5-7 p.m., at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Prayers will be recited Friday at 8:15 a.m. at the South Portland Chapel, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. John the Evangelist Church, 611 Main St., South Portland. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
