FALMOUTH — Rehabilitation of the Maine Turnpike Exit 52 overpass, which was scheduled to begin this week, will not start until March 25 because of Tuesday’s snowstorm.

The work will limit southbound turnpike access to and from the Falmouth Spur until the project is completed in November, according to a Maine Turnpike Authority press release.

Starting Monday, the southbound off-ramp will be closed for three weeks, according to the Maine Turnpike Authority. The same ramp will close again in late May or early June until the project is finished. Also, the southbound on- and off-ramps will both close for approximately a week in late May or early June.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and take alternate routes, including Interstate 295.

The $3.5 million project is being completed by CPM Constructors of Freeport. For more information on the project visit MaineTurnpike.com.
