SCARBOROUGH — Operation Cupid 2010 will seek to help 150 members of the U.S. Army Reserve 619th Transportation Company, currently stationed in Afghanistan.

Cards and goodie bags of candy and snacks were decorated at Scarborough Middle School on Jan. 17. Small games, puzzles, CDs and DVDs will also be donated.

Now in its seventh year, Operation Cupid is is a project of the middle school Builders Club, a social service club sponsored by the Scarborough Kiwanis Club. The project is also supported by Key Clubs from Scarborough and South Portland high schools, the K-Kids and arts programs at Wentworth Intermediate School, Scarborough’s primary schools and community volunteers.

To contribute, send a check made payable to “Scarborough Middle School” to: Operation Cupid, Scarborough Middle School, 21 Quentin Drive, Scarborough, ME 04074. Any funds in excess of those needed will be donated to family support programs for Maine’s military families.
