Art and reality are nearly indistinguishable in the early phases of this rainy-day painting by Portland artist Peter Rolfe on Friday at Falmouth Road in Falmouth. The daffodils were planted more than two decades ago by homeowner Bonita Marchetti to honor her deceased mother. Since then, she has added more daffodils to memorialize other friends who have died.
