PORTLAND — Two popular city festivals return this weekend.

The 43rd annual Old Port Festival starts at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 12, with a parade down Exchange Street. The festival runs through 5 p.m., with live music on several stages, children’s games and activities and locally made crafts and food on sale.

It’s part of Summer Kickoff weekend, sponsored by Portland Downtown, which includes a “Walk the Working Waterfront” tour Saturday, June 11, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Commercial Street, from Becky’s Diner to the Maine State Pier.

Details can be found at portlandmaine.com.

On Friday, June 10, the week-long Pride Portland events begin, celebrating the “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, ally/asexual community,” according to organizers.

Pride Portland is capped with a parade and festival Saturday, June 18, noon-5 p.m., from Monument Square to Deering Oaks Park.
