CAPE ELIZABETH — A free demonstration of very old-style baseball will fill the diamond at Fort Williams Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 30.

The Massachusetts-based Essex Baseball Club will square off against Augusta-based Dirigo Baseball in a doubleheader using 19th century rules.

The games are sponsored by the Maine Historical Society and begin at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the parade ground. Between games, players will greet spectators and answer questions about the vintage rules and equipment.
