PORTLAND — When the PBA Elias Cup competitions return to Bayside Bowl, 28 Alder St., in April, the all-star event will have a new lead sponsor.
OceanView at Falmouth, a retirement community at 20 Blueberry Lane, was announced on March 1 as the new namesake for the tour. The Elias Cup is rolling into Portland for the fourth year.
“The Elias Cup showcases the world’s best bowlers, most passionate fans and incredible sponsors that realize what a big deal this event is for our state,” Bayside managing partner Charlie Mitchell said in a press release.
The PBA tour event, matching eight teams of five bowlers, will run from April 16-22. The Elias Cup matches will also be aired on ESPN on four consecutive Sundays, beginning April 22.
