Falmouth ‘Fall Ball’

FALMOUTH — The Falmouth Education Foundation will hold its annual Fall Ball and auction on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Portland Country Club.
The event starts at 6 p.m. with drinks and a silent auction; at 8 p.m. tapas will be served; and at 9 p.m., the live auction begins.
The Fall Ball is FEF’s major fundraiser. Tickets are $75 each or $100 for patron tickets, which include a listing in the auction program book.

YARMOUTH — A volunteer orientation meeting will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 15 from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the William Rowe School for school volunteers new to the Yarmouth school system.
The orientation includes information regarding volunteering opportunities and guidelines.

Girl Scouts of Maine will be holding informational meetings and registration for the following towns: Cumberland/North Yarmouth, on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m., at Mabel I. Wilson School; Falmouth on Monday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Plummer-Motz School Gym; and Yarmouth on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. at Yarmouth Elementary School gym.

The Theatre Company at Falmouth High School is presenting an audience favorite, the rock musical “Godspell.” Showtimes are Thursday, Sept. 9, at 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10-11, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $7 for adults and $5 for students and children.
