Fall Fair upcoming
FREEPORT — Merriconeag Waldorf School is holding its annual Fall Fair this weekend. A preview sale for adults only will be held on Friday, Nov. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the school’s community hall.
The Fall Fair and Open House, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, will feature fine crafts, handmade toys, food, live music and children’s games. School information and an opportunity to meet with the teachers will also be available. Admission is free and open to all.

FALMOUTH — Falmouth recently hosted 10 schools from around the state to compete in the Falmouth Debate Tournament.
Local winners include Varsity Public Forum: first place – Toby Aicher and Reid Pryzant of Falmouth, third place – Kyle Grigel and Michael Norton of Falmouth; Junior Varsity Lincoln Douglas: first place – Michael LaFond of Falmouth; second place – Hannah Willwerth of Greely High School; third place – Jackson Bloch of Falmouth; Congressional Debate: second place – Ian Philbrick of Greely High School; third place – Will Ryan of Falmouth.
Overall Debate Sweepstakes winners: first place – Falmouth High School; second place – Greely High School.
