YARMOUTH — The fourth annual Yarmouth Pumpkin Run will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, Oct. 30 to benefit the Yarmouth Food Pantry.
The family-friendly event offers the follow race options: 8:30 a.m., 5K walk / walk with dog; 9 a.m., 5K run for ages 13 and older / dog run; 10:15 a.m., 1K kids fun run for ages 12 and under.
Prizes to top finishers of the race will go to the top three open, top three masters (ages 40+), top three girls (age 12 and under) and top three boys (age 12 and under).
Prizes will also be awarded for best costumes for adults, children and teams.
The event will be held at Yarmouth High School on West Elm Street, where registration will start at 7:30 a.m. near the rear entrance to YHS.
Participants can also register online at http://tiny.cc/pumpkinrun. Registration fees are $20 for 5K / $10 for 1K / $45 for a family (does not include dog) / $10 per dog.
Halloween costumes are encouraged.
The Theatre Company at Falmouth High School is presenting a stage adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland,” Oct 22-24. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22; 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23; and 4 p.m. Sunday Oct. 24. The show is appropriate for all ages, and will be held at the Falmouth High School, 74 Woodville Road. Tickets are available at the door for $7 for adults and $5 for students and children.
