YARMOUTH — A documentary film screening and fundraiser for American soldiers serving in the Middle East is planned for 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Yarmouth High School Performing Arts Center.

The evening will begin with a screening of “The Way We Get By,” a documentary about a group of senior citizens living in Bangor who gather at the local airport every day to thank American soldiers as they depart to and return from Iraq and Afghanistan.

After the film everyone is welcome to help pack and mail care packages to the 209th Aviation Support Battalion stationed in Tikrit, Iraq.

Cash donations are appreciated; or for a list of specific items requested by the Battalion, please contact David Pearl with Yarmouth High School at 846-5535.
