Greely High presents
musical ‘Anything Goes’

CUMBERLAND — The musical comedy “Anything Goes,” will be presented by Greely High School beginning Thursday, Nov. 19.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and a Sunday matinee show at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the all-ages show are $6 for students or seniors and $8 for adults and can be purchased this week during school lunchtimes, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the GHS main lobby, or at the door before each performance.


‘Little Shop of Horrors’
debuts at Yarmouth High

YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth High School Playmakers opens the musical comedy “Little Shop of Horrors” with an open dress rehearsal on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.

The retelling of the Faustian tale combines Greek tragedy with science fiction satire, spoof on “B” movies and musical comedy.

Regular performance times are 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and a Saturday matinee show at 2 p.m.

All tickets are reserved seating, $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and are available at the Yarmouth High School box office Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Mondays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased at Yarmouth Community Services Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

NYA to add fifth
grade in 2010

YARMOUTH — Beginning in fall of 2010, North Yarmouth Academy will offer a fifth grade class to incoming students. The school anticipates enrolling at least one full class of 10 to 14 students in its first year.

A search for a fifth grade teacher is currently in progress.

Winslow inducted into
National Honor Society

FALMOUTH — Brittany Winslow, a 2008 graduate of Falmouth High School, was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Freshman National Honor Society at Castleton State College.

Students were honored for achieving outstanding academic performance by earning grade point averages of at least 3.5 during their freshman year.
