The following are the Greely High School Top 10 students graduating in 2014.

Gabrielle Bouchard is the daughter of Mark and Christina Bouchard.

Organizations and Activities: Lacrosse, Jazz Band, science research, drama club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Global Awareness Club, organized a service trip to Guatemala for 15 Greely students with organization Partners in Development, July 2013,

Awards: 2013 Wellesley College Book Award, 2013 fourth place Northern New England Junior Science & Humanities Symposium and attended the National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium, Jazz All-State 2012 and 2013.

Future Plans: attending Boston College in the fall.

Jordynne Copp is the daughter of Chris and Vicki Copp.

Organizations and Activities: varsity volleyball and basketball, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, two years as class officer, two years as varsity basketball captain, varsity volleyball captain, two years as Maine Juniors Volleyball co-captain, varsity softball, two years, ultimate frisbee, Maine Junior’s Volleyball; beach volleyball, volunteer for youth basketball and volleyball programs and assistant coach of Greely Middle School volleyball team.

Awards: Softball Coach’s Award, Basketball Coach’s Award, two Maine Volleyball  Championship, Class A Volleyball All-Star Team, Volleyball All-Academic Team, Greely High Honor Plaque, Spanish Honor Society, and National Honor Society.

Future Plans: attending Saint Joseph’s College in Standish in the fall with plans to become a nurse anesthetist. She will also be playing volleyball at Saint Joseph’s.

Jodie Page Derby is the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Derby.

Organizations and Activities: Four years volleyball, two years band, chorus , Maine Junior Olympic Volleyball Club, captain on several volleyball teams, junior varsity lacrosse, five summers as general store associate, three years as house cleaning specialist.

Awards: honorable mention 2010 Science Fair, Greely varsity letter, eight medals for volleyball tournaments, volleyball MVP medal in 2012, high honors/honor roll, spring of 2014 Academic Excellence Award for High Honor Roll Achievement , 2012 beach cleanup at Willard Beach, HART volunteer, four years in ALS Walk , the Biddeford Rotary Park Easter egg hunt, a food pantry, and a nursing home in the activities department.

Future Plans: University of Southern Maine, majoring in nursing, tryout for the USM Huskies volleyball team.

Salutatorian Liam Dougherty is the son of Carl Dougherty and Debbie Pepper-Dougherty

Organizations and Activities: Four years varsity tennis team, two years captain junior varsity golf team, math team, computer programming club, leadership, math tutor, HART volunteer.

Awards: High honor roll first senior semester, honor roll past, Academic Excellence Award, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal Award, Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, Experiencing Engineering Program at UMO, Innovating Engineering Award.

Future plans: Pioneer’s Program at the University of Southern Maine studying mathematics.

Anna Fitch is the daughter of Robert and Julia Fitch.

Organizations and Activities: Safe Passage Club, French Club, volunteer coach for Mainely Stars field hockey camp; training of fellow employees at summer jobs, field hockey, outdoor track, National Honor Society; French Honor Society, volunteer for “Samaritan’s Purse.”

Awards: First Place at State Science Fair for Group 4.

Future Plans: Gordon College; major in biology, probably environmental science.

Kaitlyn Graham is the daughter of Nathan and Heidi Graham.

Organizations and Activities: Greely drama department, French Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, leadership council with Greely girls lacrosse, freshmen orientation leader, varsity lacrosse and soccer, four years 207 Lacrosse, Nordic skiing.

Awards: All-Academic Western Class B Girls Soccer, high honors award for senior year, two years top 10 in Maine in the National French Contest, TD Bank Achieve the Dream Scholarship for 2014.

Future Plans: Attending Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Accepted into the honors program and studying communications.

Eliza McKenney is the daughter of Leslie and Rick McKenney.

Organizations and Activities: National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, student council, class officer, prom committee, Pantene beautiful lengths hair drive committee, captain girls lacrosse team 2014, captain Alpine ski team 2014, cross country team.

Awards: 2014  Excellence in Spanish award, Maine Principal’s Association Award, Lions Club Community Service Recognition Award, St. Michael’s Book Award, Daughters of Revolution award.

Future plans: College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia.

Miranda Nicole Rico is the daughter of Tito and Amy Rico.

Organizations and Activities: Two years Portland School of Ballet, Pulse Dance Company, two years freshman orientation leader, assistant dance instructor , jazz, lyrical, contemporary.

Awards: high honors, National Honor Society, honor roll for eight semesters.

Future Plans: University of Arizona Honors College , majoring in business and art (photography).

Valedictorian Kirstin Sandreuter is the daughter of Bill and Hanni Sandreuter.

Organizations and Activities: French Club, Safe Passage Club, Bigs and Littles, National Honor Society, French Honor Society, cross country/track captain, youth track coach, youth ministry aid.

Awards: Forecaster 2013 Fall Athlete of the Year, Maine Gatorade Runner of the Year 2014, FLAME Student of the Year 2014, Outstanding Senior in French Award 2014.

Future Plans: study nutrition and compete in cross country/track at Cornell University.

Elizabeth Towle is the daughter of Michael and Alissa Towle.

Organizations and Activies: science research, Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation, Bigs and Littles, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, volleyball, swimming.

Awards: Second in Biological Sciences 2012, second in Northern New England 2013, fourth in Northern New England 2014 National Merits Finalist, Presidential Award from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Future plans: Worcester Polytechnic Institute as a chemical engineering major
