graduation sponsors

CUMBERLAND — Greely High School’s senior class is seeking adults in the community to sponsor a senior for Project Graduation.

Project Graduation is an all-night event following commencement that is tobacco, drug and alcohol free.

Greely’s Spanish Club
fundraiser underway

CUMBERLAND — The Greely High School Spanish Club is currently selling water bottles to raise money for a service trip to Guatemala this summer.

Students from the club and adult chaperones, led by Spanish teacher Margaret Irwin, will be travelling to Guatemala with Partners in Development to help build clean water filtration systems.

Proceeds from the water bottle sales will be used to fund the trip and to help build additional clean water filtration systems in a Guatemalan village.

Grandchamp, Zrioka
earn Eagle Scout rank

CUMBERLAND — Jacob Grandchamp and Anton Zrioka of Boy Scout Troop 58 Cumberland/North Yarmouth recently achieved the Boy Scouts of America highest rank of Eagle Scout.

Grandchamp’s Eagle Scout project was to build an informational kiosk at the Twin Brooks Recreation Area. He is the son of Garth and Anne Grandchamp of Cumberland and is a senior at Greely High School.

Zrioka’s Eagle Scout project was to make trail improvements along the Eleanor Hayes Town Forest Trail in North Yarmouth. He is the son of Patrick and Ulla Zrioka of North Yarmouth, and is a senior at Cheverus High School.
