NORTH YARMOUTH — The sound of music and aroma of food will fill the Village Green during a summertime celebration on Sunday, July 25.

Participants are also sought for next month’s North Yarmouth Fun Day parade.

A summer bandstand concert and community picnic and barbecue, presented by the North Yarmouth Events Committee, will begin on Sunday at 5:15 p.m. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be grilled and served by volunteers, and lemonade will be offered; bring a dessert or side dish to share.

The Bath Municipal Band will perform at 6 p.m.

If it rains, the free event will be held in Wescustogo Hall, by the Village Green on Route 115.

Cumberland-North Yarmouth Recreation and Community Education and Casco Bay Paving are the concert sponsors. Season sponsors are Ames Farm Center, Walnut Hill Self Storage, Patriot Insurance Company, Sheebeo, Soft Trac LLC, the Law Offices of Thaddeus V. Day, Pat’s Pizza Old Port and the Gray-New Gloucester Animal Hospital.
