FYBA evaluations upcoming

The Falmouth Youth Basketball Association is holding evaluations for grades 3 and 4 later this month. The girls’ evaluations are Monday, Oct. 14 from 6 to 7 p.m. Boys’ evaluations are Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Both will be held a the Falmouth Elementary School gymnasium.

Freeport Running Boosters benefit race upcoming

The 6th annual Betty ReeZ 5K will be held Monday, Oct. 14 at the Pownal Road Fields to benefit the Freeport Running Boosters. Young runners and families are encouraged to participate. Trophies will be given in various age groups. The one-mile race begins at 9 a.m., and the 5K starts at 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration is $8 for the mile and $12 for the 5K. NYA coaching openings

North Yarmouth Academy has several winter and spring coaching openings. The upper school is seeking a Nordic ski coach, a boys’ ice hockey assistant coach, a girls’ junior varsity hockey coach, JV girls’ hockey assistants, girls’ lacrosse and girls’ JV lacrosse coaches. RSU5 coaching openings

RSU5 has several coaching openings. Freeport High School is seeking Alpine ski, Nordic ski, varsity baseball, boys’ first team and girls’ first team basketball coaches. At Freeport Middle School, there are openings for Alpine and Nordic skiing, cheering, indoor track, 8th grade baseball, 8th grade girls’ lacrosse and 7th grade girls’ lacrosse.
