RSU5 coaching openings
There are multiple coaching openings in RSU5 for the 2015-16 school year. Freeport High School is seeking coaches for boys’ varsity basketball, girls’ junior varsity soccer, girls’ first team soccer, boys’ first team soccer, boys’ first team basketball, girls’ JV basketball, girls’ first team basketball, two assistants for football and assistants for Alpine skiing and indoor track. At Freeport Middle School, there are openings for 7th grade boys’ soccer, 7th grade field hockey, boys’ basketball and football (head and assistant). At Durham Community School, there are openings for ‘B’ and ‘C’ boys’ basketball, ‘A’ and ‘B’ girls’ basketball and Nordic skiing. FMI, 865-4706, ext. 228 orsickelsc@rsu5.org.
Summer Fun 5K upcoming
The first annual Summer Fun 5K Walk/Run to benefit the Brendan Conway Memorial Scholarship at Deering High School, as well as a new scholarship program to give local children in need a chance to attend summer camp, will be held Sunday, May 31 on the Back Cove Trail.
