Falmouth football and cheering holding registration

The Falmouth football and Falmouth cheer and stunt teams are holding registration for the upcoming season. Falmouth’s football boosters offer youth tackle (grades 2 through 6), youth flag (grades K through 6), middle school, high school and cheer and stunt (grades 1 through 8) teams. NYA fall coaching openings

North Yarmouth Academy has fall coach openings at the middle and upper school levels. The upper school needs a varsity and a junior varsity boys’ soccer coach. MPA announces first Hall of Excellence class

The Maine Principals’ Association announced the first class of inductees into its Hall of Excellence earlier this week. The group of 10 includes former Cheverus boys’ basketball coach Bob Brown and U. Maine women’s basketball legend Cindy Blodgett. Also inducted were David Jeffrey, Bob Lahey, Dwight Littlefield, Horace McGowan, Marty Ryan, Dick Tyler, Peter Webb and Bob White.

Maine Basketball Hall of Fame golf fundraiser upcoming

The first Southern Maine golf scramble to benefit the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame will be held Monday, July 21 at the Falmouth Country Club. The scramble begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The five-man team entry fee of $625 includes two carts and an awards luncheon, scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. FMI, 504-6182 or tfmaines@comcast.net.
