Lacrosse pick-up league starting
A men’s and women’s lacrosse pick-up league will be held Sunday nights from June 7 through Aug. 9 at Deering High’s Memorial Field. Women play from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Men go from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The cost is $70. FMI, email@example.com.
Sunday lacrosse clinics offered
Cheverus boys’ varsity lacrosse coach Deke Andrew and other top coaches from the area will be hosting weekly Sunday lacrosse clinics from June 7 through Aug. 9 at Deering High’s Memorial Field. The cost is $75 for five weeks or $150 for 10 weeks. The program is a mix of instruction and game play and is open to boys and girls entering grades 2 through 8 next fall.

Former Olympian to direct track camp
Olympic Gold Medal winner Dick Fosbury will direct a summer track camp at Bowdoin College. Fosbury won the 1968 high jump in Mexico City with a revolutionary technique now known as the “Fosbury Flop.” The camp will run June 28 through July 2. FMI, fosburycamp.com
