Cross country regionals, states postponed

Due to Saturday’s bad weather, the Maine Principals’ Association pushed the cross country regional championships back a week to this coming Saturday, meaning the state championship meet will now be held Saturday, Nov. 7. Both meets will be contested at Twin Brook in Cumberland. Saturday, the Western Class B girls (Falmouth, Greely and Yarmouth) run at 11:10 a.m. The Class B boys start at 11:45 a.m. Freeport and North Yarmouth Academy’s girls run in the Western C race, which starts at 12:20 p.m. The Class C boys run at 12:55 p.m.

Waynflete seeks Nordic ski coach

Kathadin field hockey club holding tryouts

NBA/WNBA FIT Challenge upcoming

Portland Recreation is hosting a local competition of NBA/WNBA FIT
Challenge Nov. 7 at the Riverton Community Center. This is a free
competition for boys and girls ages 5 to 14 to challenge their level of

Maine Elite Lacrosse clinics upcoming

Maine Elite Lacrosse is offering clinics Sunday and Tuesday nights
beginning next month. A weekly clinic with short-sided scrimmages for
boys in grades 2-8 will begin Nov. 1 and run Sunday nights through Dec.
20 from 5 to 6 p.m. at YourSpace, 215 Narragansett St., in Gorham.
Cheverus varsity boys’ lacrosse coach Deke Andrew will run the program.
The price is $150. There will also be an elite 4v4 winter session for
advanced Elite level middle schoolers Tuesday nights Nov. 3 through
Dec. 22 from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Portland Sports Complex behind Jokers.

Portland Pirates hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Night

The Portland Pirates will host their second annual Breast Cancer
Awareness Night when they meet the Lowell Devils Friday at 7 p.m. Fans
are encouraged to wear pink to the rink and join the Pirates in

Sea Dogs pitcher offering clinic

Portland Sea Dogs pitcher Ryne Lawson will present a pitching clinic
Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Falmouth Middle School gym. The 8-12 year old
session goes from 6 to 7 p.m. A 13-18 year old clinic runs from 7:15 to

Evening Indoor Soccer commences Nov. 22, as does Sunday Morning Floor
